The Wi-Fi institute campus occupies more than 62 acres of lush green, pollution free area on chandigarh — Ambala highway at Derabsssi. It is the commitment which was translated into reality with the establishment of Sri Sukhmani Institute of Engineering & Technology, in the year 1998.

Functionally and aesthetically spread out, the plan builds on providing an intellectual ambience and learning exposure. The plan envisages various academic blocks, departments, lecture theatre rooms, seminar halls, well stocked library, office, laboratories, hostel, residences, canteen, sports ground and other associated facilities like banks, Medical aid ,transportation, etc. The Class rooms are spacious well ventilated and well fit with comfortable seating arrangement. Tutorial rooms provide effective close interaction of the tutor with a small group of students, are also well equipped. The Institute is founded on the philosophy of 'Service before Self. Every student is treated as an individual with distinctive learning inclination and unique ability. It helps your child to give an edge to get global education and be at par with students across the world.

The Institute has separate hostels for boys and girls. The mess of each hostel is equipped with modern facilities. Each hostel has a residential warden to ensure implementation of discipline and creating atmospheres of that is conductive to learning. Cable TV Connection in Common Room, Facility of Indoor Games, Medical Aid, Telephone Facility, Gymnasium etc are provided

Boys Hostel is located at a convenient distance outside the campus spacious and well-ventilated rooms with adequate tables, chairs, cupboards etc are available to give students a perfect homely stay Facilities are

  • Generator set of 30 KVA for every individual Hostel.
  • Telephone Facility for every individual Hostel.

  • Mess with nutritious diet for every individual Hostel. (Veg and Non-Veg).

    General Instructions For Hostlers

  • Students are not allowed to keep any pets etc. in the hostel.
  • Students in their own interest should not keep large sum of money or any other valuable items in their rooms.
  • Any Case of serious illness should be reported to the warden and the college Medical officer immediately.
  • Each resident student is responsible for the cleanliness and good upkeep of the room allotted to him/her.
  • He /She will be held responsible for the damages done to the room or its furniture and fixtures.
  • If any student leaves the hostel and fails to handover in good order all the furniture/fixture, he/she will be liable to pay for any damages done.
  • All lights and fans must be switched off. when leaving the rooms.
  • All students are advised in their own interest to take breakfast/meals/snacks in the college mess/canteen.
  • In case of any food poisoning due to their taking food at a place other than the hostel/mess/canteen, the students will be personally responsible for the consequences.
  • As soon as the resident ceases to be a student of the college, his/her entitlement to stay in the hostel will cease automatically.
  • Newspapers/magazines etc. are to be read in the common room only and should not be taken out.
  • T.V. sets should only be operated by the authorized persons who are permitted to operate in, otherwise charges for repair etc. would be the responsibility of the defaulters.

Sri Sukhmani Institute of Engg. & Technology has a big library. The Library building is based on modern principle of architecture. It is modular and functional style fulfills the purpose of planned Library. The Library building centrally air-conditioned, well stocked and well equipped. The library is fully automated. Library has a collection of over 18382 books and 30 magazines. There is also a Book Bank facility SC/ST student. The Library subscribes IEEE, ACM and ASME on-line full text journals through INDEST – Consortium. The Library has membership of DELNET, INDEST and BRITISH LIBRARY.

The Institute has also a Gymnasium-cum-Badminton Hall and a Swimming Pool Complex equipped with all modern facilities. Every Year Sports Meet held in Institute Campus. A large number of students participate in the various events such as Athletics, Hockey, Kabaddi, Basketball, Chess and Tug-of war besides other fun games. Institute teams participates in all above games in inter College Tournaments. N.S.S. N.S.S. Unit of the college is very active in fields like blood donation, awareness programmes, environmental issues etc. Every year the college N.S.S. Unit organizes Blood Donation Camps in collaboration with PGI. These camps draw an overwhelming response from students and college. They voluntarily donate blood in large numbers.

Canteen The college has a spacious and hygienic canteen locate inside the campus which caters to the taste of all the students and provides breakfast, lunch and snacks reasonable rates. The canteen is well maintained efficient service and take - away counters. The canteen offers various dishes at affordable prices to all the students. Here not only students but staff members all enjoys delicious food.

Cafeteria The hang-out zone for the students is the "Nescafe" or "Ice-Cream joint" where the students get time to unwire and get refreshed. Here students not only meet for recreation but it has also become a group - discussion (zone where all the students chat and relax. Canteen Nescafe and ice cream joint make a perfect junction f students for relaxing, chatting and recreating. TI canteen is spacious, clean, and hygienic. A variety eatables and beverages are provided at reasonable rates.

To help the students stay in prime of their health, college provides a well furnished Gymnasium hall. Gym boasts of all the modern and latest exercise machines for both boys and girls. Instructions and charts are also specially designed after consulting doctors.Weight training, cardio-training, Yoga, Aerobics are taught by trained instructors. The Gym also remain open for practice sessions of Table tennis badminton, basket ball etc. The equipments are checked at regular intervals and the equipments and machines are well maintained

Seminar /Conference Hall An air-conditioned & well-furnished conference room with seating capacity of 130 plus is equipped with all audio-visual aids such as Camera, VCA, TV, LCD Projector and public address system for conduct of conferences, seminars and guest lectures and for discussion-oriented activities. In addition there are two more seminar halls. The Seminar Hall is the ideal venue for seminars by corporate , nonprofit, government organizations, and professional associations members to talk and deliver lectures to the students to provide them a better and closer insight into the working of their different fields. These conferences and lectures not only provide the students with a first hand information about the working of various fields but also gives them an opportunity to get their doubts cleared by asking questions from our guests.

The students who desire to commute everyday, Sri Sukhmani Group has its own fleet of buses. Students are picked up and dropped from the institute and back. Transportation facility is provided to students hailing from Ambala, Patiala, Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali etc. for Derabassi Campus. These buses run on cooperative payment basis. Numerous bus stop points have been fixed beforehand. The students may opt for transportation facility at the time of their admission. A large number of pick up and dropping points have been earmarked in different sectors of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali. The students may opt for college transport at the time of their admission.

The Sukhmani group has its own dispensary where the medical facilities exist for the students and staff members. A duly-qualified staff and proper stock of medicines have been ensured by the group authorities. In addition to the day-to-day attendance to ailments, special attention is paid to the health of the students. The severe cases are referred to the adjoining Sri Sukhmani Multi Specialty hospital. All the students are medically examined at least once a year by the College Medical Officer and Standard Physio-Medical Record of such students maintained.

The Director—Research has recently taken positive steps to inculcate R&D culture and environment at the campus by directing the faculty members to initiate as Guide / Project Leader new research oriented projects particularly for the Final year students of all disciplines. The project work is now being undertaken mostly in the departments or at the industry where students are undergoing industrial training. As per directives, a list of innovative projects based on emerging technologies is prepared six months in advance by the project guides under the overall guidance of Director- Research in each department for assigning these to the final year students. Based on the new guidelines formulated by the committee, it is now mandatory to produce at least five publications by each department in a year out of these innovative projects work and as a result of this, positive and encouraging outcome is coming up. Under its R&D programs, SSIET has now undertaken the much delayed task of obtaining Accreditation Certificate from National Board of Accreditation (NBA) New Delhi initially for its four departments. Under the inspiring leadership of Chairman and Principal of the institute, and over all supervision/ guidance of Director- Research, all the faculties and Allied Services are working round the clock to accomplish the necessary tasks and prepare the much needed document in the form of ' Self Assessment Report'. The work is in progress.
